Since Apple is already busting every single available ass to get iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max units into the hands of people who want them, they’ve gone as far as adding a new supplier to curb demand.
In an effort to actually get these devices out and shipped before end of the year, holidays and Christmas, Apple has enlisted LG to start supplying OLED displays for iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max. A report from Korea’s ETNews has more:
It is understood that LG Display has started supplying displays to Apple’s new iPhone 14 Pro series models. The market has been monopolized by Samsung Display; however, it is showing a movement of reorganizing the market into a two-way war. Starting from the end of last month, LG Display claimed to have started supplying low-temperature polycrystalline oxide (LTPO) thin film transistor (TFT) type OLED panels to Apple.
ETNews
Until Apple’s recent struggles with supply, Samsung has been the exclusive, sole supplier of OLED displays for their flagship iPhones. The enlistment of LG by Apple is one of two-fold benefit as well; now that LG has a cut of the pie and is supplying displays, Apple can get more iPhone units out to customers – they can also potentially negotiate lower prices from Samsung since LG is now a viable alternative.
We don’t have an exact timeline for when Apple will begin shipping iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max models with LG displays in them but customers should anticipate no noticeable differences between these devices and the usual Samsung supplied displays.
As it currently stands, iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max models are still on 4-5 weeks shipping delays, so its clear Apple is doing everything they can to get these orders out.

All we need now is for Tim Cook to get down there on the factory floors and start building them himself, look at the reach on that man! He can definitely make a difference.
