New iPad Pro Models Are Here: M2 Chips, Apple Pencil Hover and more

Well boys and girls, the day is finally upon us! We finally get new iPad Pro models featuring the M2 chips and oh boy, are they some “Pro” iPads. Let’s take a look!

Apple’s announcement this morning brought with it updated iPad Pro models with some serious new features:

• M2 chip with up to 15% faster CPU performance and 35% GPU performance compared to M1
• Support for Wi-Fi 6E with download speeds up to 2.4Gbps
• New Apple Pencil “Hover” which detects the Apple Pencil 12mm above the display allowing for expanding features like drawing preview, Scribble auto-detection and more
• Same design, weight, battery life and display resolution/brightness as previous models
• Available for order today starting at $799 for 11-inch and $999 for 12.9-inch
• Colors available are Space Gray and Silver, with storage options of 128GB, 256GB, 1TB and 2TB
• Shipping October 26th

So there ya have it! Arguably the biggest announcement this morning, alongside new iPad (normie edition) models and a refresh to Apple TV 4K. Hopefully all of our iPadOS power-users are satisfied with the updated iPad Pro models, have fun with Stage Manager and if it sucks – blame Tim.
