The Gurmiest little Mark the world has ever seen has graced us with the latest Power On newsletter. Let me recount to you how my day was brightened by its arrival. I was pooping and my phone buzzed, curiously I peer down and there it is… an email from Bloomberg enters my inbox. I gasp. “Oh papi, yes” I say as I’m unable to contain my excitement. Let me recount to you a tale from the ancient texts:

Apple is working on the thing where they show us stuff. Please clap.

Gurman tells us that Apple’s production for their upcoming September iPhone & Apple Watch event is very much underway:

I’m told that Apple has started to record and assemble its September media event, which is likely to take place in the first half of the month (as usual).

Mark Gurman

Pretty par for the course as Apple events are concerned, though it’s comforting to know they aren’t experiencing any delays – which wouldn’t be surprising given all the everything going on.

Marky Mark gives us some insight into what he believes we should anticipate:

  • “The iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro should come as expected—with an always-on screen and redesigned notch on the Pro models. They’ll have better cameras across the board.”
  • “The regular Apple Watch Series 8 will add a body-temperature sensor, but—like the new Apple Watch SE—will look similar to the previous generation. The big smartwatch announcement will be an Apple Watch Pro with rugged titanium casing, larger screen and beefier battery.”

Gurman also expects to see an extra Apple event this fall; the iPhone & Apple Watch event in September and a secondary iPad & Mac event in October. Makes sense given the amount of product announcements Apple has planned until end of year.

His expectations regarding Apple Watch are definitely interesting as well, because just a few days ago we saw a leak dump by ShrimpApplePro on Twitter telling us to NOT expect a new body-temperature sensor. Place your bets now, a Shrimp vs. a Gurm. Who will win?

Let’s all grab a nice cup of hot chocolate and prepare to get comfy. The time for Tim Cook to whisper sweet nothings into our ears is coming closer ever day. Huzzah!
