Rewind to Tuesday this week: Apple finally acknowledged a problem that has been plaguing tons of Apple Studio Display users for months – annoying audio issues that required a power cycle to “maybe” fix.
Well we have a proper, official firmware update from the Expensive Fruit Company itself to hopefully address this ridiculous issue.
All Studio Display users have to do is make sure their display is connected to their Mac (obviously), navigate to System Preferences and select Software Update. Badabing badaboom, your “too-smart-for-its-own-good–did-they-really-need-to-put-an-entire-OS-on-this-thing” fancy screen should now suck a whole lot less.
We don’t have any notes for the firmware update so we can’t 100% confirm that a fix for these issues is in there, but the timing on the release is quite suspicious for it not fix the audio problems users are experiencing.
If you’re still experiencing audio issues after the update be sure to make posts on official forums, Twitter, Reddit, MySpace and IRC chats to be safe. Let the world know!
