The little rascals over at 9to5Mac have done some deep, deep digging and found something super dope: confirmation for iPhone 14 Pro’s always on display.
So, inside the iOS 16 beta we have some nifty little treats – some always-on display ready wallpapers. 9to5Mac was able to dig up some super cool wallpapers that pinpoint exactly how the iPhone 14 Pro’s always-on tech will work.
Here’s a fantastic video they posted with their article showing off how the new feature will function:
Thanks to the iPhone 14 Pro’s variable refresh rate screen, when you lock the iPhone the wallpaper goes to its “sleep” mode that slows your screen down to a nice, low-energy 1hz. You’ll still be able to see your clock and your widgets, with a fancy shmancy faded wallpaper to boot.
This isn’t too dissimilar to how many Android phones with always-on tech functions, however with the new wallpapers Apple is definitely putting their own spin on it much like the Apple Watch’s new always-on features.
Mark another day off your “Days Until iPhone 14 Announcement” calendar people, this bad boy is shaping up to be pretty darn neat. Sorry, I’ll try to have cleaner language in the future.
