The last update to iPhone SE came in April of 2020, and it’s looking like we can expect the same timeframe this year.
Display analyst Ross Young tweeted today mentioning that suppliers will begin mass production and final assembly in March.
According to him, this means that launch is “likely” in the second half of April or early May.
Last week, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman said that we can expect an Apple event in “March or April” to launch the new iPhone SE
Apple’s first virtual event of 2022 is coming up in just a few short months and is likely to take place in either March or April, I’m told. What should we expect? Probably a new iPhone SE, at least.

The timelines add up, and an event is super likely — but to me, it still doesn’t make sense to feature the iPhone SE in an event due to it’s minor updates and dated design.
Just gives us a press release and call it a day.
