New report from display analyst, Ross Young, who has a whopping 100% accuracy track record according to AppleTrack, says the upcoming, redesigned iPad mini 6 will feature a larger display than the current iPad mini. 8.3-inches, to be exact.
We gave you a “First Look” at the little guy, with a total footprint size of 206.3mm x 137.8mm x 6.1mm. That came from real images, schematics, and CAD files that our sources provided. Through those, we gave you these renders:

Although we gave a total footprint size for the upcoming device, only guesses have been made in regards to what the actual display size will be. Previously, reliable Apple analyst, Ming-Chi Kuo, said in an investor note obtained by MacRumors that the iPad mini could measure in at 8.5 to 9 inches, and Bloomberg has said that the new iPad mini will have a larger display with slimmed down bezels.
While there have been conflicting reports about what chip set this sixth-generation iPad mini will be equipped with – A14 or A15 – and whether the next iPad mini will have a Home button or not, most reports seem to be agreeing with what we already gave you: No Home button, Touch ID in the power button, USB-C port instead of Lightning port, and a Smart Connector.
Just recently we had more conflicting reports on whether or not the next-gen iPad mini would be featuring a mini-LED display. DigiTimes stated the next iPad mini would be equipped with mini-LED, while more reliable source, Ross Young, stated that that report was WRONG *say it in Trump’s voice* and the next iPad mini would NOT be coming with a mini-LED display.
Check out our ‘EXCLUSIVE: First Look‘ for full renders based on real images and CAD files of the iPad mini 6. I’ve seen the actual images, and baby, THEY ARE SPICY ????????!
