Ok well, technically Jon Prosser could make $187,873.50/month with his 375.5k Twitter following, but I’m his soon-to-be wife, so ya. Same thing lol.
Twitter has opened up the application process for its paid ‘Super Follows’ subscription and ‘Ticketed Spaces’ just 4 months after announcing such a feature. Twitter claims Super Follows can “help you earn monthly revenue by offering an extra level of content and interaction as a monthly subscription” – and with a smol little revenue cut, I’m sure they can.
The payment feature, Super Follows, will allow Twitter users to charge followers and give them access to extra content. That could be anything from bonus tweets, access to a community group, newsletter subscription, or even just a badge indicating your support. Hope they make a toilet paper badge for the toilet squadron!
In a mockup screenshot, Twitter showed an example where a user charges $4.99 per month to receive a series of goodies:

In the latest Twitter app update, this new tab labeled “monetization” can be seen. Once clicked, it takes you to “Monetization options” where you can officially apply for the feature. The catch? You can only apply if:
- You have more than 10k followers
- You have 25 or more tweets in the past 30 days
- You are 18 years of age or older
I do not qualify… BUT JON DOES!

It then brings you to a section that asks for demographic info and finally confirmation of your submitted application.

Ticket Spaces are different and are a one-time payment to a single event:

With Amazon-owned video service Twitch taking a 50 percent cut from subscriptions and YouTube charging 30 percent of membership fees, Twitter’s 20 percent commission sounds great.
Do you qualify to apply for Super Follows? That’s ok, neither did I, BUT our #ToiletKing did! We’ll keep you updated if his application gets approved! Stay tuned.
