As with all things iOS 15 announced at this years WWDC, these iPad OS 15 features are nothing short of AWESOME!

App Library:

New App Library gives you the option to declutter by allowing you to hide apps from your Home Screen. Yes, this is the same sort of App Library you already haz on your iPhone.

“Also coming to iPad is the App Library, automatically organizing apps into helpful categories like Productivity, Games, and Recently Added, and allowing users to access all their apps right from the Dock.”

Multitasking:

A new Multitasking Menu makes it easier to multitask by keeping your side bit*hes more visible. I see you boo boo. I ain’t forgetti.

Quickly capture notes from anywhere in the system by swiping up from the bottom right corner of the screen with new feature called “Quick Notes.”

Translate:

Translate app is coming to iPad with a feature called “Auto Translate” that can detect what language someone is speaking so users can converse more naturally without having to tap a microphone button.

For an even more personal conversation, “face-to-face view” lets two people sit across from each other with iPad between them and see translation of the conversation from their own side.

Translate text from anywhere in the system by selecting it. This goes for handwritten text and/or text within an image.

Swift Playgrounds:

This one’s for the devs: Swift Playgrounds lets you build apps directly on your iPad and submit them in the App Store.

Universal Control:

Saved the best for last: Universal Control lets you work WITH A SINGLE MOUSE AND KEYBOARD between iPad and Mac, with NO setup! You can even drag and drop content between two devices. Pretty nifty.

That’s it. Everything new coming to iPad OS 15. Public beta coming in July and full release “this fall.”

OH BUT IF YOU WERE HOPING FOR ANYTHING NEW TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF YOUR NEW IPAD PRO WITH M1 AND 16GB OF RAM, TOO BAD.
