The last of the Butt Flex P90X phones have officially rolled off production lines, reports Asia Business Daily. That includes all of LG smartphones and their goofy names.
As of Monday, April 31st, LG has halted smartphone production ahead of its full departure scheduled for July 31st. This comes about two months after LG announced its intentions to drop out of the smartphone market.
They stated that they would continue to fulfill its last contracts with carriers and other entities. Presumably, those things have been fulfilled. Or they just said “f**k it” and shut it down anyway lol That’s what I would have done if my P. Sherman, 42 Wallaby Way phone was slowly becoming memeable.

To be fair, you can meme basically anything and any phone. We all remember the same frying pan iPhone 11 jokes and selling an organ to afford an iPhone memes.

For now, LG’s current phone inventory is still for sale and devices will continue to receive after-sale support and software updates for a period of three years. As far as the assembly lines and facilities, they will move to the production of household appliances.
The factory in Vietnam, which used to be the backbone of smartphone production, will switch to a household appliance production line. Previously, LG Electronics decided to expand its home appliance production line at its Vietnam factory, the largest smartphone production base, and ensure the succession of employment of local smartphone factory personnel.
